Clinical Pilates

Pilates is a method of exercises widely practised in the world. It was founded by Mr Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century.
It emphasizes alignment, breathing, developing a strong core, namely the muscles of the abdomen, lower back and hips. This is important as it is the "powerhouse" and is considered the key to a person's stability.

It improves flexibility, builds strength, develops control, coordination, balance and endurance throughout the body.
Based on the initial physical examination and understanding the objectives of the client, the training regimes will be discussed and regularly reviewed. In short, the exercises are tailored to the needs of individual and medical history.
It is Clinical Pilates because it is instructed by a physiotherapist who understands the health issues of clients if any. Although we conduct Pilates in a classical method, we take good care of patient safety foremost with modification if when indicated; ensuring the training given is at the right levels.
We offer 1:1 coaching as well as group classes of different levels of challenges.
Classes are kept small to ensure adequate attention to details. It is fun, enjoyable and great for social life.
